Connecting Your Stripe Reader to SMRT

  1. Access the Settings on the Reader

    • Swipe from the left edge of the screen

    • Tap Settings

    • Enter the admin PIN: 07139
      ​

  2. Generate the Pairing Code

    • In the settings menu, tap “Generate Pairing Code”

    • Note the 6-character code displayed on the screen
      ​

  3. Enter the Code into SMRT

    • On your SMRT Station, go to:
      ​Settings > Hardware > Stripe Terminal Setup

    • Enter the pairing code shown on your reader

    • Click Register
      ​

  4. Troubleshooting Tip

    • If you get an error saying “Failed to register reader with error”, double-check that your store address in SMRT matches what’s on file with Stripe
      ​

  5. Successful Setup

    • Once registered, the reader will return to the main screen

    • You’ll see it listed as connected in SMRT under your station’s hardware
      ​
