How Due Dates work & How to edit them

Due Dates help you set the right turnaround time for each order, so your team and customers are always on the same page about when items will be ready.

This setting can be found under Settings-> Detailing/Pricing -> Due Dates

example of due dates config

What Are Due Dates?

  • Due Date = the Promised Date the customer sees

  • Production Date = the Internal Date your team aims to finish the order by (usually a day earlier than the due date)

These are automatically calculated when you create a new order, based on your store or route’s settings.

Where to Set Them

Go to: Settings → Detailing/Pricing → Due Dates

Here, you can create or update due date rules for each store or route.

How It Works – A Quick Example

Let’s say you set a Due Day of 2 and a Due Hour of 3pm:

  • An order created on Monday morning will be due by Wednesday at 3pm

  • If you have a Cut-Off Hour of 12pm, and the order is created after that, the due date will move to Thursday at 3pm

Key Settings Explained

  • Due Days – How many business days from the order date until it’s due

  • Due Hour – What time the order is due on that day (e.g. 4pm)

  • Cut-Off Hour – If an order is placed after this time, add an extra day to the due date

    • Tip: To turn off this feature, set Cut-Off Hour to 12:00am

  • Production Days & Hours – Just like Due settings, but used internally to schedule when the item should be ready behind the scenes

Add Conditions for Flexibility

You can set different rules for different:

  • Stores or Routes (called Agents)

  • Departments (e.g. Dry Cleaning, Alterations)

  • Days of the Week

This way, you can have one set of rules for regular dry cleaning and another for specialty items like repairs or bridal wear.

Important Notes

  • SMRT skips days with no production when calculating due dates (usually weekends or holidays)

  • Make sure you give each rule a clear name so it’s easy to manage later
