Follow this guide to increase the darkness/print speed of your Zebra Printer. Depending on the ribbon or media you are using, the default darkness setting isn't enough for a legible print.

Use the following steps to increase the darkness of your print:

1. Open the Control Panel.

2. Click View Devices & Printers.

3. Locate your printer in the list of devices.

4. Right click your printer and click Printing Preferences.

5. Change the Darkness setting to a number between 1 and 30. (Darkness scale varies by printer model) The higher the darkness; the darker the print. Once finished, click "Apply" then "Ok". You can also slow down the printing speed if experiencing poor printing results, smudged tags or jamming issues.

7. You can now print a test tag to ensure the settings were applied to the printer. You can adjust as needed to find your preferred darkness.

*Note: If the darkness is set too high, you can run into issues with the ink ribbon sticking to the paper. Reduce the speed and darkness to find a happy medium.
